Emerging Art Writers Program 2: Publication
The second edition of the Emerging Art Writers Program publication is now available. Stemming from the inaugural Emerging Art Writers Program (EAWP) facilitated by Dr. Mark Clintberg and mentored by Nancy Tousley in 2020, this year Dr. Mark Clintberg planted the seed with his seminar: Write Through This: Writing for Contemporary Art Markets inviting students to submit letters of interest in application for the second edition of this program. EAWP 2 expanded by offering two streams for students to participate: Art Criticism with Amy Fung and Curatorial with Shauna Thompson. Over the course of several months participants met with their peers and mentors to develop their skills and attended workshops by C Magazine’s Jaclyn Bruneau and Maya Wilson-Sanchez.
Upon completion of the program, each participant produced a final draft of their writing to be published in this collection. This budding publication is available in print or digitally (planted below), featuring the writings of twelve blossoming students:
ART CRITICISM WITH AMY FUNG
CURATORIAL WITH SHAUNA THOMPSON
This publication was designed by IKG’s Public Programming and Outreach Assistant, Robyn Mah and AUArts student designer, Ben Yuan.
